BLACK BUSINESS CARDS | NYC
Our black business cards create an immediate, distinctive look even with the most minimal designs. The pop of metallic ink or foil on dark paper is usually achieved by printing a flood of ink onto white paper with knock-outs for the art. But if you’re going to go dark we recommend going all the way by using one of our many black papers in thicknesses from 110# up through 215#! Black business cards are more durable than black on white paper since the black goes all the way through. Black cards given out to new contacts will last longer in a pocket and have less scuffing than a color flood.
Black paper can be used with any print process, creating a multitude of possible outcomes. Silver, gold or bronze metallic offset business cards are a simple and effective way to make a stand-out look for your design. Letterpress gives that extra feel, especially nice on thicker paper. Foil stamping gives anything a flash of light and with black paper the effect is multiplied even more. Digital printing can work on black paper as well if you’re going for a super covert black on black look. Printing black business cards takes special consideration as most Pantone inks are transparent and disappear into the black paper surface. Metallic inks are the exception to this and remain opaque on the black paper. White ink can even be used for printing on black paper in some cases.
