Metallic Paper

Shimmer built into the sheet itself. Metallic papers come in mirror-metallic and sparkle finishes — a dazzling range for work that needs to glow before a drop of ink touches it.

Mirror-metallic stocks have a sleek reflective surface that mimics metal — modern, high-impact, and a natural pair for minimal typography. Sparkle and pearl papers carry tiny reflective particles that catch light like a starry night — whimsical and festive, ideal for invitations, holiday cards, and celebratory pieces. Iridescent sheets shift hue with viewing angle, a favorite for menus and event pieces.

The paper does half the design work: colors printed on metallic stock pick up depth and dimension, and letterpress or embossing into the surface plays the shimmer against shadow. We print book covers, business cards, invitations, and stationery on these sheets.

Designing on shimmer

The rule with metallic stock: let the sheet breathe. Heavy ink floods bury the shimmer you paid for, so the strongest designs leave metallic real estate open — minimal typography on mirror-metallic, line art over pearl, a letterpress or embossed hit that plays the sparkle against its own shadow. Printed color picks up depth from the sheet beneath it; plan for it and the paper does half the design work.

FAQ

Metallic paper or metallic ink?

Paper puts the shimmer everywhere, under everything; metallic ink puts it only where printed. They stack, too — metal on metal is a real move.

Can full color print on metallic paper?

Yes — CMYK on metallic stock picks up depth and dimension from the sheet. We've run whole booklets on it.

Which pieces suit metallic stock best?

Invitations, holiday cards, menus on iridescent sheets, book covers, and business cards — anywhere the object should glow before a drop of ink touches it.

Does foil work on metallic paper?

Beautifully — foil-on-metallic reads as jewelry. Matte chrome sheets with gloss foil hits are a house favorite.
