Letterpress Printing
We're not just pressing ink into paper — we're pressing forward. Forget what you think you know about this age-old technique: copper plates, hand-mixed inks, and razor-sharp detail down to .25pt line weight, with impression adjustable from a kiss to practically pushed out the back.
No polymer plates here. Our plates are etched copper — the epitome of precision, capturing every intricate detail and holding it through the whole run. Inks are mixed by hand to exact Pantone targets, including the fluorescents and metallics that make our letterpress work unmistakable.
We respect the tradition, but we're obsessed with what's next. This isn't your grandma's stationery; it's the business card that lands the deal, the invite that becomes a keepsake, the print that sparks conversations.
What letterpress does best
- Business cards — deep impression on 1-, 2-, and 3-ply cotton stocks, often paired with edge painting or foil.
- Wedding & event invitations — the tactile richness that makes an invitation a keepsake. See wedding invitations.
- Stationery & notecards — letterhead and notecards with real presence, blind-debossed logos, fine rules.
- Coasters, menus, hang tags — thick soft stocks that take impression beautifully.
Impression, ink & paper
The letterpress triangle: how hard you hit, what you hit with, and what you hit. Soft cotton papers (Lettra, museum board, duplexed builds) take the deepest impression; harder European sheets trade depth for crispness. Blind impression — no ink at all — reads as pure sculpture. And because we mix ink by hand, fluorescent letterpress on cotton is a house specialty you won't find at trade printers.

FAQ
What can letterpress print?
Business cards, invitations, notecards, coasters, hang tags, menus, stationery — anything that benefits from tactile impression on beautiful paper. Fine line work holds down to .25pt.
Do you use polymer plates?
No — etched copper. It holds finer detail, keeps edges crisp through long runs, and delivers a cleaner impression than polymer.
How deep can the impression go?
Fully adjustable: kiss impression to a deep punch practically pushed out the back. Deep impression wants soft cotton papers in heavy weights.
Can you match exact brand colors?
Yes — inks are hand-mixed to Pantone targets, including fluorescents and metallics.
