Leather Stamping
Book covers become tactile works of art with leather stamping — foil and deboss pressed into premium leathers sourced right here in the Garment District, chosen for durability and hand-feel.
A heated die sinks the mark into the hide: blind deboss for quiet, tone-on-tone branding, or foil for gold and metallic marks that hold crisp detail against the grain. We stamp hardcover and softcover book covers, notebooks, pouches, wallets, and leather goods.
The craft extends past the leather itself: silk screening and printing on linen and cotton bookcloth, plus meticulous attention to pages and bindings, so every element of a bound piece meets fine-art standards.
Blind or foiled
Blind deboss sinks tone-on-tone into the grain — branding you read with a thumb. Foil holds crisp, lit detail against the texture. Which one, and how deep, depends on the hide: smooth leathers take fine detail, pebbled grains want bolder marks. We'll match the die to the leather, not the other way around.
