Recycled Paper

Align the printing with the values. Recycled papers — post-consumer waste and renewable-fiber stocks — offer a sustainable route that doesn't compromise on print quality.

Stationery-grade recycled sheets hold specialty work beautifully: letterpress impression, foil, and fine type all land crisply. Cotton papers — much of the best letterpress stock — are themselves made from renewable fiber, and kraft stocks frequently carry high recycled content, so a sustainable spec often costs nothing in look or feel.

For companies with environmental commitments to back up (and customers who check), recycled stock turns every business card and package into quiet proof. Tell us your sustainability requirements at the spec stage and we'll build the paper choice around them.

Sustainable without looking it

The old tradeoff — recycled content or refined finish — is gone. Stationery-grade recycled whites are indistinguishable from virgin sheets under letterpress and foil; flecked and toothy looks are a choice now, not a tax. Cotton papers, the backbone of fine letterpress, are made from renewable fiber to begin with, and kraft brings high recycled content with its character built in. The sustainable version of your piece usually looks exactly like the piece.

FAQ

Does recycled paper compromise print quality?

Not at stationery grade — letterpress impression, foil, and fine type all land crisply. If you want the flecked, visibly-recycled look, that's an aesthetic choice we can make on purpose.

Are cotton papers sustainable?

Cotton is renewable fiber — and it happens to be the best letterpress stock there is. Values and quality point the same direction here.

Can you match specific sustainability requirements?

Tell us the requirement at the spec stage — recycled content, fiber source, and stock selection get built around it.

Do specialty techniques work on recycled stock?

Yes — letterpress, foil, deboss, and edge treatments run on recycled and renewable sheets the same as any other. See the samples below.
