OFFSET PRINTING | NYC
Offset printing is the most common method of printing for everything from magazines to printed packaging, buckslips, offset business cards, and stationery. We call it Flat Ink Printing in contrast to our letterpress and Raised Ink offerings. However, the final effect is far from flat. As the highly efficient, contemporary development of 17th-century lithographic printing, Offset Printing stands up to the highest measures of quality. For non-digital printing with full-color capability, you’d be hard-pressed to find a method stronger or more artful than this. This print technique offers a wide range of custom specs: full flood prints, multiple color overprinting, super tight registration, metallic inks, and multiple Pantone ink color printing at once. Publicide’s New York City print shop offers Pantone / Spot Color printing on custom business cards, postcards, presentation folders, stationery sets, envelopes and more!
Flood a smooth or eggshell texture white sheet of paper with your company’s matching Pantone ink and “knock out” a white logo for a streamlined business card look. Offset printing does not stamp or raise any part of the paper or text, making large areas of color on text and cover weight papers easy to print. Ultimately, offset printing is the ideal technique for luxe commercial and promotional print runs.
OFFSET PRINTING: PRICING + PRINT PRODUCTION NOTES
Pricing for offset printing is based on quantity, paper type and the number of processes and machines that will be used in creating your order. More elaborate and custom print specs cost considerably more than standard orders, so it’s important to get your quote before proceeding. It’s worth mentioning that offset’s commercial printing origins have imparted a very high efficiency in pricing and speed. Once the basic press setup costs are covered, offset presses run at high speed with few materials needed to reach high quantities. You’ll find it’s great for longer print runs and much higher printing speeds than digital printing so be sure to ask for additional quantities in your request to enjoy the savings that press efficiency can bring!
Production time varies with order complexity and our seasonal workload but our elastic schedule allows for very fast rush prints when required, though rush charges apply. Turnaround time is calculated from the date of PDF proof approval. If your printing project has a hard due-date please let us know when making your request. Email us with your design file or specs to receive a custom quote for your printing project. All projects must have a custom quote number to proceed.
RUSH PRINTING IN NYC
Some print specs are available for rush printing services. To inquire about a rush offset job, please email artwork, print specifications and desired completion date ASAP to email@example.com. If we’re able to accommodate your schedule we will reply with pricing and additional costs for the rush. Rush printing is one of our specialties but please be aware that every moment counts in a rush schedule. Some jobs will require additional shifts and weekend work to finish on time so the price can be significantly higher than jobs on a regular schedule.
